I worked on OYU Live Seasons 3 and OYU Live Season 4, as well as OYU Fest. What began as a task to help shift the organization’s design direction evolved into a project that became one of the most well-known in Central Asia.

OYU Season 3

It was my first project with the QARA Team and one of my first experiences with video production. The main challenge was understanding how things work in the film and video industry.

For the third season, I developed a new visual style for social media, found an illustrator, and curated her work to create illustrations for merchandise and various covers.

OYU Season 4

Season 2 was a new challenge for me — everything was bigger: bigger sponsors, more work, and a larger audience.

It was a special experience because I worked with big names in music and the sponsor was Spotify. After this season, we realized we should take the next step and organize a festival.

OYU Fest

Oyu Fest was my opus magnum with QARA. The range of tasks I handled was incredibly diverse: social media posts, animations, event banners, festival maps, directional signage, screen visuals, billboard ads, posters, and merchandise—including custom merch for performers and the team. I even helped sell the merch during the festival to support our small team of just 8 people, managing an event attended by hundreds.

But all the work was worth it. This project taught me how much I’m capable of handling under tight deadlines. The biggest lesson I took away: with the right team, you can achieve anything. It was the very first Oyu Fest—and it’s now become the biggest annual music event in Central Asia. I’m proud to say I was there at the start.

Thank you, team!
